I believe that google’s algorithm of displaying SERP’s is counting and outgoing links in a way, cause I think that it matters if you have links to some qualitative sites.

I agree that you shouldn’t be afraid of outgoing links cause they won’t hurt your site especially if they are nofollow.

I think that everyone should be afraid of outbound links cause they do nothing but to steal your Page Rank, and it isn’t good especially if you are in blogging business.

I agree that qualitative outbound links don’t heart anyone, your PR won’t disappear, and you have more chances to be indexed by spiders.

I run a completely DoFollow blog and give DoFollow links to my top commentators from my homepage, I am free with sharing PR juice, but unfortunately my blog has had a PR2 for two years through 8 Google Updates and no matter how many links I build, I keep leaking my PR out. I still would rather share the luv than try to hoard it.
