How many of you want to pay more for your hosting provider? No, it’s not a trick question but seriously, if you’ve already set up your hosting, when was the last time you comparatively shopped prices?
Just like car insurance, the number of people who don’t even shop around and just keep overpaying year after year is shocking. Next time, rather than simply clicking the renew button, how about taking a look at other web hosting options out there?
To the people who already have a site
As many of you already know, I run several sites. One thing I want to just ‘set and forget’ is my hosting provider. I know it’s really easy to fall into the trap of using the same partner again and again, even if overall satisfaction isn’t perfect.
So how do we determine what the best web hosting is for us? If you ask me, if a hosting company can bring me a similar level of (or better) reliability, site speed, and customer service that I’m accustomed to, then cost is likely the deciding factor.
For most of us, we don’t contact our hosting company just to tell them how great they are. We typically only reach out to them when we have issues. As a result, it’s very hard to find great, minimally biased reviews on hosting companies. Go ahead, do some searches about hosting companies and you’ll find that nightmarish experiences outnumber raving reviews by at least a 10 to 1 ratio.
The truth is, you’ll never know how amazing a hosting company is until a problem pops up. If you aren’t completely satisfied with who you are currently using, swing by Web Hosting Clue if reducing your operating costs is important to you. You’ll find a list of top hosting sites as well as valuable coupons all in one place. And these aren’t no-name brands — we’re talking GoDaddy, HostGator, BlueHost and other leaders. (Please see my disclosure.)
To the folks who are ready to start a site
I remember the days when I was starting up my first site. Cost was a huge factor! I mean, don’t we all try to operate on a shoestring budget from the get-go? Even though I had the money, I actually didn’t want to spend a penny more than I had to. It’s not that I wasn’t committed; rather, I was conscious of how much money was going out relative to what was coming in — which in the beginning is a big, fat goose egg. You see how torn up people can get just wrestling with the idea to purchase their own domain name for about $7 a year! Every dollar counts when it comes to your monthly hosting fees.
Web Hosting Clue provides you with an affordable way to get started by giving you reviews and coupons. Instead of approximately $80 a year, how does less than $50 sound? Again, if assuming all other things are equal, saving $30 is a pretty big deal when your site earnings are zero.
Hosting summary
If you are in the market for a hosting company, whether you’re new and looking for the best blog hosting available or you are already running a site on your own, when you are in the market for a hosting provider, look to Web Hosting Clue for viable, low cost alternatives.

I am a business professional
with an entrepreneurial spirit. Although I have an MBA and managed websites and IT departments
for several Fortune 500 companies ...
I’m currently using godaddy’s hosting services for $6.99 a month, though they have some terrible issues with some wp plugins like w3 total cache, in terms of site speed, I think they are good enough, but I’m no expert when it comes to hosting.
I’ll be trying bluehost next time for my small niche sites. Are they any good Gabe?
Regards,
Jason
I was an affiliate of BlueHost last year and heard a lot of good things. But if you’re not unsatisfied with GoDaddy, why not just stay?
Perhaps DreamHost is the best in terms of quality/cost, but the lack of a credit card (I’m still 20!) prevents me from using it. Bluehost doesn’t allow monthly payments and thus I’m left with Hostgator. I have found Hostgator’s support system to be very efficient, and they help me out with non-hosting issues too like installing third party scripts. I’ve never faced a problem so far in about 16 months.

A great sign indeed, since they state publicly that they do not handle a thing with 3rd party scripts.

DreamHost and HostGator are both popular choices. Just curious, where are you that you can’t get a credit card at age 20?!?
I’ve used and recommended Hostgator since the very beginning.
When it comes to services to which there are many providers, it’s all about he customer service.

Customer service is a huge deal. I’ve only had great experiences with GoDaddy’s customer service so I’m personally sticking with them.
I have hosted my all sites on HostGator. I can’t rely on others. I have used lots of web hosting companies.
At last found, HostGator is the best. It’s customer support is very nice. They feel the customer.

Well, it is hard to find a good web hosting, and this is why I do not search for new. I am pretty pleased with what I have. It is possible to find better or cheaper, but I have to experiment and try new ones, and it will cost me time and money.

That’s a great point. In many cases, when it comes to hosting, the old adage of “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it” applies.
And I forgot to mention that it is a good idea to search a little in the forums about the hosting you want to use, before you order. But it is also hard to determine if the hosting is good or not. There are always people that are very happy with it, and people that are not. Sometimes just a few servers are kind of not working well, but the others are OK. It is good that you can cancel your order within 30 days or sometimes 45, you have to check in the terms of the specific website.
Regards.
The First time for every blogger it will be less cost for hosting the website because they let us to grab a discount coupon codes. But from 2nd year, our butts will burn if we have no earnings. Am I right?

You can still use coupon codes, even if you’re not a new customer.
If you have multiple sites, it actually costs less. My deluxe package allows me to host all of my sites on the same plan. So I’m basically getting five sites hosted for the price of one!
This could have explained in other way also. I appreciate your effort to cost cutting. This is my opinion. I am not so much technical advance.
Gabe, Never tried hosting clue but Hostgator and Justhosts both are my favorite and i never needed to go elsewhere. Both have cost effective services and hostgator has ultracool support too. For bloggers there are also options like Name.com which hosts blogs with one-click installation.
Web Hosting Clue is just an informational site with reviews and coupons. It’s not a hosting provider.
Thank you that you accomplished the good enough issue close to this topic.
i usually use coupon i think this is the best way to cut operating costs for my site

As many here already know, I’m a GoDaddy customer. There are always coupons available like these (thanks for posting them!) but you can also the same deals through an affiliate.
There are plenty of cheap web hosting around with unlimitered usage, like x10Premium. The big players are more expensive and less flexible.

I think that once we’re set up with a web hoster, it’s easy to become so comfortable that we don’t want to change, even if it’s cheaper. But you’re right- we should always be searching for the best options available.

I use Host Papa for most of my sites. It’s cheap and the Cpanel has everything I need. I found Godaddy to be to restrictive and some of the others to be missing key features in the cPanel (like fantastico for instance).
i usually use coupon it is helpful. nice post
Thanks.
I agree you should look into the prices every now and again and compare. Hosting prices go down with time – either that or packages become more generous (same thing really).
That said, you don’t necessarily have to move to a different hosting company. Moving hosts can be a huge headache – when you have several big sites, or lots of small ones, or both… However, you may be able to re-negotiate your package with your current host. IMHO, no need to move if you’re happy with the service.

Now, the cost of improving site’s PR is more and more expensive, we must have an idea to cut it.
Good idea to cut the costs.
Most indeed get accustomed to their initial hosting provider and the real problem comes when they no longer pay interest to the alternatives, not doing any type of researches, leading to lack of knowledge of those providers who have cut their prices into half!
