Guess how much I paid for my new logo?
As some of you know, ever since my redesign late last year, I’ve been looking for a new logo. After wasting time with several fly-by-night operations, I reached out to logonerds and it was undoubtedly the best decision I made when it comes to my site design.
The logo is a big part of any company’s, and in this case, blogger’s, brand. It must look professional and represent the site well. Although I consider myself somewhat creative, I can’t come close when it comes to matching skills with a real artist. Logo design isn’t my strength and it never will be. I need the logo to not only match the look and feel of my site but also how I want the “face” of my site to come across.
The great thing is that I can procure someone to design the perfect logo for me. How much? Well, many companies charge several hundred and even many thousands to do this. And we can all recognize cheapie or free logos so forget those.
For a measly $27, logonerds will provide a first class process and even more amazing service. They start by asking you to complete a questionnaire and they will design 3 creative concepts for you to review. Then you provide some feedback and they will send you your logo in several web ready formats. The whole thing only takes 3-5 business days!
Whether you’re looking to replace the awfully, generic theme text header or to swap out that logo that you can’t stand, you can’t beat logonerds’ value proposition. You’re getting a killer logo that looks like you spent waaaaay more than $27. After all, it’s not a canned logo, it’s created just for you with your input!
Take it from someone who worked through the logonerds process, I would go back again and again for other logo jobs. For the record, I’m an affiliate (read my disclosure) but I swear to you, I would promote logonerds for free. That’s how happy I am with logonerds (thanks, Joseph!).
So head over to logonerds and check out their services. Then come on back and let all of us know how your experience went. I’m 100% confident that it’ll be positive.
BTW, how do you like my new logo anyway?

Looks great, especially at that price!
I found someone to do some barter for an ad on my site to make my logo for the new site (hotblogtips) I can’t wait to get it!
Keith´s last blog ..The Part Of SEO You Are Missing
Wow nice logo man! I’m tempted to give them a shot as well, Ive been looking to replace my boring attempt at a header image anyways and that price is great. Seriously though, that logo couldn’t match your site design better if it tried.
I was also curious about how the infolinks are working out for you? I’m already passing $300 in my first 24 days and still going strong. I would love to find an alternative to the Google ads which make pennies a day basically. On a good day Adsense makes me 3-4$, infolinks makes around $10-20 a day for me. I tried adbright but they have too many issues (cant login with FF, ads don’t display correctly in IE, etc…).
As always, great site!

Infolinks daily average has been lower than Kontera so far but it has only been two weeks since the switch.
My affiliates earn me the most. For example, my average GoDaddy commission is over $60.
Please explain how “guess how much” produces an ad for cafemom.com. LOL!
Dennis Edell´s last blog ..Here We Go! Theme Construction Part 1 – Your Participation Is Wanted-Needed!
I don’t look at my own infolinks but maybe I should! It looks like it could be quite entertaining!
Ah I do notice one issue though, your widget box with the facebook, twitter, rss and other buttons seems really weird in some browsers and looks very choppy and spaced strange. From a quick glance at your source it looks like you have a whole lot of div layering going on possibly and its causing issues. It looks especially bad in Opera and is noticeable in FF and IE as well.
They are also not ‘ing properly for some reason, they all have a small _ that links next to each one. Its hard to explain but have a look on IE (8 is what I’m using) and you should be able to see what I’m saying.
I have noticed this in the past but on FF it looks fairly ok, just the bottom spacing seems weird, so I checked it in another browser and its not as forgiving as FF when it displays them. Let me know if you cant figure it out and you can send me the whole code in that widget box and I can see if I iron it out.

That’s a plugin and I haven’t had time to troubleshoot. I’ll send you an emai…
I really like your new logo! I love the quote box because it makes me feel that you think communication is important on your blog.

Nice logo!
Just now to have a favicon to match.
I would get a logo but I am too cheap, oh well will bookmark this for when I could get a logo

The favicon does match! Not sure how they’re cached but if you open this site up in another browser, you’ll see it.
Anyway, being cost conscious is important for many bloggers. Hopefully when the time comes, you’ll decide to go with these guys since I know you’ll enjoy the experience.
I like the new logo I noticed it the other day. It is good to see you did not replace your image in the About Gabe with a logo as well. Very cool……yup

I’m often tempted to change my gravatar (same pic as the one used in About Me sections) but people are so used to seeing that picture I’ll have to be frozen in time at the point.
Gabe, honestly your logo is simple, but great! And it’s true that it really blend your theme. Though the price hurts (smile), but it’s worthy… Mine? Never mind… I just asked someone to make a design for me in exchange of a 1-way link…

It was created based on my responses to the questionnaire, which included samples of other logos that I like. In addition, I was provided with more “elaborate” designs but I really think this one suits the site well.
I understand the importance of a logo for branding. I see so many blogs out there without one.
I just made my own, but I would like to see what someone else might come up with.
Brian Inman´s last blog ..Going MIA On Your Gaming Blog
I can see why many bloggers don’t have their own customized logo/header. Typically, the cost is greater than the amount they can earn in an entire year! Pretty hard to justify, especially with no ROI.
But at under $30, there will be a number of bloggers ready to make that commitment their sites so desperately need.

This is awesome Gabe, thanks for the link, I am going to check Logonerds out, today.
I love the new logo! It makes the entire site look a bit more polished.
Gabe, for that price, it’s worth a shot even if it turns out you can’t use it!
I’ll be checking in to it for sure.

What about a favicon? I noticed that you don’t have one for this site.
Tony´s last blog ..The Seven Extensions I Use on Google Chrome
I’ve always had a favicon but it was based on my old design from last year.
That is, until now. With the new logo, I also updated my favicon. As I mentioned in another response, I’m not sure how favicons are cached but the new one is definitely visible to me. Try a different browser or wait a few days and let me know.
Now that you mention it, I do see it. Looks great.
Tony´s last blog ..66 Beautiful and Free iPhone & iPod Touch Wallpapers
I see the favicon and it’s got white background behind it. If you want, you could have it re-done so it would have a transparent background. Your new header logo btw looks cool. I like it.
James M.´s last blog ..USB Switch Box: Multi-tasking Aid
I keep going back and forth on the idea. Most favicons are transparent, even my last one, but with folks using various tab colors, the white background makes sense. Google Wave and Amazon also use a white background… maybe they’re on to something!
Hey Gabe,
Very nice. Simple. Clean. Professional. Strong yet a bit cheeky with that stylized “o” … oh, I think that sums up the blogger too!
Will definitely keep these nerds in mind!

A characterized Dennis? Probably something like…
http://logonerds.com/portfolio/character_mascot_design
Ya know, I’ve thought of those since I see them every once in a while. Then I read a rather compelling comment (don’t recall where, sorry) about the unprofessionalism they tend to portray.
OK lord (and all who read my blog) knows how non-politically correct I am; how I will interject fun wherever possible, but like I said…compelling.
What do you think?
Feel free you respond via email if this is going off-topic at all.
Dennis Edell´s last blog ..Here We Go! Theme Construction Part 1 – Your Participation Is Wanted-Needed!
I don’t think it’s unprofessional at all. If a cartoon version of you suits your style, then go for it! I personally think it would be a good fit.
Just look at shoemoney.com or zacjohnson.com. They’re doing just fine.
I know the importance of a logo for branding or a company .
Logonerds designed my logo as well, unfortunately I didn’t have good experience with them, check out my blog logo and you know why. I’m going to hold a contest in digitalpoint forum and I believe that I would get something I want with the price as low as $30-$50.
Between, you have a nice looking logo now!
Regards,
Lee
Was it the experience or the end product? Unless those guys treat me differently than they treat others, I’d like to think that it’s the latter.
Anyway, I don’t think your logo is bad at all. What don’t you like about it?
I have no idea Gabe, the logo looks fishy and I don’t think it suits the blog niche, don’t you think so? Anyway, I’ve made some changes on my blog header and I just use the “M” word from the logo. Between, I’ll hire another designer to design the “M” logo for me.
How do you think about the new header? Looks better or just normal?
Cheers,
Lee
Although I like the way the “M” looks, especially as a favicon, I really don’t think it looks good by itself.
I would either stick with the old header or redo it altogether. I just don’t think the balloon M goes well with the new header typeface. Just my two cents.
Your logo looks impressive, simple yet professional.
Simple logos are always better than more congested ones..

I absolutely adore your new logo. I noticed it the first time I came to your page after you switched over. It was $27 well spent!
Where’s your disclosure though? ^_^ jk. I’m probably due for a logo redesign in the next couple of months (since I designed my own using simple photoshop tutorials). I’ll be sure to check out your recommendation using your links.

Well we can’t beat $27 but for UK based companies we offer great customer service, we also do business cards and other stationery printing if required. Maybe i should get these nerds to work for me?
Not a bad idea! Seriously, I still get comments on my logo regularly!
