What would you add to the list?

I am a business professional
with an entrepreneurial spirit. Although I have an MBA and managed websites and IT departments
for several Fortune 500 companies ...
Nice list! Some I would add would be app/site/software you use daily/can’t live without.

That’s a good one, not just for your tech blog but for any site. I tried to lump some of that into #23 Favorite tools of the trade but there’s certainly room for your level of depth.
BTW, what happened to your link? You’re losing a sip of juice!
I don’t know, my link keeps disappearing but then reappearing on your website.

Great list … also jogs the mind to continue adding to the list from your own perspective…. now when I blog on any of the above I too will be “exposed” as having hit the wall

Even some of the most creative bloggers have shortages of ideas from time to time. At a minimum, hopefully this gives some folks a way to break away from the monotony.
All these ideas are so generic, yet this is the most powerful thing about it!
Lets see if I can churn out some posts using some of these ideas

TechChunks´s last blog ..Top 10 Geekiest Quotes Ever
Thanks! I know I can come up with hundreds of article ideas for my niche in particular but creating a list that’s universal to any blogger was much more challenging (and fun!).
Absolutely awesome Gabe! This is an excellent post, and yes I have start to come to that point of what to right next. I find that it is critical to have a plan, mapping out ahead of time what your will be writing about, and this certainly does help. THanks
Personally, I keep a running list of article ideas. So when I sit down to write my next article, I simply open up that doc and scan the topics I jotted down over time. It’s almost like going shopping!
Thanks for the 55th tip.
I’d copy that.
Olusegun´s last blog ..What Does Blogging Mean to You?
It doesn’t rain but it pours
Thanks for the ideas Gabe, I can easily think of how to expand on #3, 4, 18, 24, 26, 27, 30, 40, 41, 43, 49, ..this can go on and on.
My contribution is this:
“How your family/dear ones motivate and push you towards your goals”
“How you balance blogging and spending quality time with your family”
“What thought or line keeps you going when you feel you have nothing more to give”
I might eventually get to it myself but I’d love to see a work-life balance article from you!
Can’t say coming up but it’s about time.
I have so many objectives for this year that if I don’t handle it well, I’m either going to get overwhelmed or something else will give.
I hope not; so no better juggling this year but better planning and accepting that some things are not worth the time I spend on them and need to be sacrificed.

U have made out a cool list and it itself made a post for your.. Thats Cool . .
Nice list post on blog ideas. This is the 5th way of my last article.
55. Why you should question everything X has taught you.
Mmmmm… I love questioning. When done tactfully, lines of questioning along with internal processing is an awesome way to learn.
Gabe,
I must let you know that first, this is a great list. I did something like this over at TheInfoPreneur.net only a bit different to the point of WHY you should blog and not what to blog about.
I must say also that number 20 inspired a brand new blog post and actually I will be turning it into a monthly post.
Thanks so much and check out my blog soon for that article. Of course you’re mentioned btw!
Doing site reviews helps both parties. I’ll be looking forward to not only your first review post but also your monthly reviews as well.
53 can bring on some good controversy.
Sure can. Or, it can be enlightening. Look at these two myth articles that I’ve written:
Top 5 myths of blogging for money
The top 3 biggest myths of FTC disclosure
Wow…simply excellent post Gabe.
Well I do have a blog and I write about SEO mostly in it.
Thanks
TC
Gabe, this is awesome. I”m keeping it “unread” in my feed until I can paste it somewhere I can find it again.
I know you’re busy already but this list should add to the never-ending pile you have.
I like the very first point….
Wow, the list is cool. I got a few new ideas about what to write about and it got me thinking about a few other things now. I will be printing it out and have it next to my laptop for further inspiration.
Glad I’m able to help. That’s quite a compliment!
Add “what keeps you going when your energy dries up”. I also like #36.
Making a prediction (#36) can give your site a nice spike in traffic, especially if it’s related to a current event.
Good list to refer & generate ideas.
Great list, I have some ideas from your list now

This is partially covered in what you mentioned as “events” but what I sometimes do is search google news for my niche keywords and then write about the latest news items – just the one, or a news roundup.

Great idea there. If you haven’t tried it yet, perhaps using a tool like Google trends can help you with that as well.
very nice list friend… I will try to use for my blog. As anne said we find recent trends in google and also in twitter. This provides a great exposure to the post
This is very helpful list. All the steps are worth try. I will use all the tips.

Gabe:
#40 and #41 are my favorites! (are the grey-hairs reading blogs?) Just kidding!
What a great list you put together! I’m so bookmarking this post for future…though I am currently not at a point for lack of ideas…rather lack of time to write what I have on my current list!
Happy 2010 – so sorry I haven’t stopped by in awhile.

Sometimes schedules get tight so it’s totally understandable. In fact, I’m behind my routine myself!
Nice Idea Gabe.. I guess all the ideas can also be implemented with any niche with lil bit of tweaking.. Like 10 things I hate about iPhone
