How long do you think it’ll take you to earn your first dollar blogging? Ask bloggers who’ve actually earned an income and almost all of them will tell you that you won’t see a cent for the first few weeks. Your first dollar? HA! You’ll have to outlast the 80% of bloggers who never made a single dollar — ever!
How long do you think it’ll take you to earn your first dollar with Twitter? You can earn your first dollar in less than a day!
Here’s how Sponsored Tweets work. An advertiser sees your profile and offers to pay you to make a tweet. You accept the offer, click a Tweet button, and the money goes into your account.
- Clicking on my Sponsored Tweet referral link.
- Signing up as a Tweeter.
- Setting your price.
- Waiting for offers.
That’s pretty much it. You can always tweak your info and settings to get the right advertisers. And if the advertiser isn’t aligned with what you want to tweet, simple decline the offer.
You will get the opportunity to set your own price but Sponsored Tweets will give you a suggested price based on your Twitter stats. One important stat is the number of followers you have so get that number up (watch your following/follower ratio though). Look for my article on how to increase your Twitter followers soon.
I’m going to offer you a parting tip. The quickest way to get your first tweets going is to price your tweets at 25% of the Sponsored Tweets suggested price. So if Sponsored Tweets recommend a $2.00 price per tweet, set your price at $0.50. It’s better to experiment with pricing while earning something in the process. If you start high and slowly work your way down, you won’t make anything for a while.
Advertisers: see my Sponsored Tweets profile here.

I am a business professional
with an entrepreneurial spirit. Although I have an MBA and managed websites and IT departments
for several Fortune 500 companies ...
This gives me another reason to really grow my twitter followers.
I like the idea of experimenting with pricing with a low number too. Thanks.
Shoot. To bad I can’t get past 82 followers otherwise this would be very useful. I will keep the post in mind though if my twitter followers get large enough.

It’s a nice supplemental income that doesn’t require much effort (other than building followers). It’s such easy money!
Although you don’t need 1000 to get started, you’re right, you might not get a lot of offers until you beef up your followers.
If you only have a hundred or two, you can try a low rate to see if you get any offers, like 10 cents or along those lines.
If you have more than 1k, then you should sign up right away. You’re leaving money on the table!
Gabe! I have tried sponsored Tweets but never satisfied with it. Have you made any money?
Yes, I’ve made money on Sponsored Tweets. I’m also on Ad.ly. I’ll disclose my earnings in an upcoming post.
my followers are too less.on other note I read on mashable how a twitter user name is being used to earn million for a charity. So twitter has got lot of money making potential

I currently have a little over 100 followers, maybe this is something I will give a try. I would like to learn how to increase followers, and of course any extra income is better then no extra income.
You’ll need to get your followers up; 100 isn’t enough. I’ll make a post soon about how to get followers up.
thanks for the beautiful piece of information, i am going to give it a try…

@Iskander and @Rajesh, you have two choices: you can either follow as many people as you can hoping that they follow you back or you can be selective about it. There are many different metrics that come into play when advertisers look at publishers. Just work on building your follower list regularly and it’ll pay off.
Frankly, many people and bloggers see that SponsoredTweets is much easier as they thought, however, it is not easy at all. You need to have big followers with high profile like John or Jeremy to make enough money. Further, make money with Twitter is the fast way to loose followers

You will lose a handful of followers if you don’t use Sponsored Tweets responsibly. Keep spammy stuff away I think ST works great.
As for making money, if someone has 1000 followers and is able to convert even 1%, that’s an incredible rate. That should be able to pull in about $1 per tweet. Not bad since it should take less than a minute to do the entire process.
Thanks for sharing this site, I have tried a couple of sites like this and none of them brought me good earnings, but I will try this one and I will see how it goes…

How many followers do you have? Even if you have several thousand, you’ll still need to get your asking price right. Try dipping to 10% of the suggested price and see how it goes.
I love this website! It is very informative. I love all the Twitter Updates

Getting paid to do a tweet here and there is definitely a fun and easy way to bring in a little extra dough!
I have over 34,000 (NO, I didn’t type an extra ZERo there
) twitter followers in my 2 twitter profiles, combined and I have directly sold some sponsored tweets for as much as $25 per tweet.
Once tried Sponsored tweet. But quickly figured out that their paying structure was too less to let me reach their minimum payout limit. So left it.

I use both Ad.ly and ST and the latter happens to give me more opportunities. I have about 10k followers right now, more than enough to keep a decent queue of sponsors for me to choose from.
I have tried Sponsored Tweets but since I only recently used Twitter, I have only 1,500 or so followers and after several months have no offers. Maybe eventually I will receive a few but they are probably going to users with thousands of followers for now.
I have already heard of this money making methods but to have sponsors, we need to have at least 1000k followers on our Twitter and our Twitter account must be at least 4 months all.
Because getting 1000k followers in only a few days, buyers will think that is weird…
