job search 300x284 Hiring a WP developerAs many of you already know, I operate several websites other than Free Blog Help. One project, in particular, is in need of some TLC.

I don’t expect anything for free so there will be compensation (OK, sometimes I do but this time I’m paying). That said, I’ve already spoken with about five developers within the last few months who all thought they could do the job but as it turns out, they can’t! See, as soon as I mention compensation, people come out of the woodwork and promise things that they can’t do. So before we go further down that path, let’s look at the scope of what I need at a high level.

WordPress Developer

The qualified consultant is expected to have working familiarity with the following technologies:

  • WordPress administration and development
  • PHP
  • FTP
  • BuddyPress (preferred but not required)

There is a high likelihood that the scope will include either creating plugins from scratch or editing available plugins to meet the site requirements.

I do have more detail but I will only disclose it to interested, qualified parties. Again, I’m looking for someone who is well-versed in WP and PHP, not someone who wants to learn it on my dime.

I’m this close to turning to a freelance site but before I do, I figured maybe there’s someone in my own community here who has the expertise that I’m looking for. I don’t even think what I’m asking for is that hard!

If you’re interested email me at gyoung@freebloghelp.com with the subject: WP Developer. Please include your resume and provide sample work if it’s not already listed on your resume.
