Google PageRank (PR) was finally updated! If you didn’t know, Google only updated PR several times a year; last time was in June 2009.
Since Free Blog Help dot Com wasn’t even created until the last few days of July, I had no PR prior to today. So what is it now? This site’s homepage has a PR1. I was hoping it’d be a PR2 but what can I say, this site has been up for under 90 days.
Anyway, I’m sure everyone is checking their PR today. Generally speaking, I wouldn’t worry too much about PR, even though it’s a nice way to see some progress. It’s a crazy algorithm that even mathematicians would have a trying time with. All you have to know is that PR is like a mountain and only a few are at the top (PR10) while most of the world makes up the base (PR0, PR1, PR2).
Even Google co-founder Larry Page (PR was named after him) tells you not to worry so much about PR, rather, just focus on creating great websites and building lasting online relationships. If you want to learn more about it, you can look at a previous article I wrote about Google PageRank.

well i have PR of 0.may be bcz i migrated from one server to another and my website is up for around 90 days.google sucks
If it’s PR0, it’s probably because of lack of link juice (popular friends giving you inbound links). Like I said, don’t worry too much about it. Just continue to write good content and continue to contribute within the community.
I just got PR after 9 months and 100,000 words of content. I’m kind of over it!

I’m with ya. With so many things going on right now, PR is the least of my worries!
Well my google PR didn’t increase this time which is quite understandable as I have very less backlinks.

Congratulations Gabe, but everyone is not luckier as you, My blog hasn’t get any pagerank, thoug it is two months old and faced server migration also, I am expecting other pagerank update soon from Google
I’m sure you’ll get your PR bump next update. Just keep doing what you’re already doing.

No worries man, PR sometimes does not help you but content. However, domain age is really important too. Hope next time you got PR2

Gabe Good thing here is you don’t worry about PR and no one should. What really matter is traffic. So concentrating on SEo and quality posts will bring every thing at your door step.

My main focus is to build and create solid content, build organic traffic as well as friendships and comradeships. But! I sure would love to have some sort of Google Page rank next time around. Geesh the Zero that came up when I checked it sort of hurt my little heart LOL:)
