I go by the logic that since image ads take up more space, then the advertiser ought to be paying more. Don’t kid yourself that visitors will click your text ads one after another because they don’t. Works for me.

No doubt, younger audiences generally prefer more glitz. However, I can’t imagine tweaking my ads based on the time of day!

I think it’s also important to note that image ads may perform better at certain hours than text, and vice versa. Another point is that a younger audience may be more drawn to image ads while and older crowd might be more comfortable with text ads. These are just theories, but things we should consider when planning our ad space! Thanks for the great article.

For a blog like yours, I would think text ads would be better than image ads. Then again, you never know until you try both at some point. I think everyone has to experiment at least a little just to be certain.
