How many of you finished your holiday shopping already? This time of year comes upon us so fast. Whether you like it or not, it’s a time of sharing and giving gifts.
We typically reserve presents for family, friends, and co-workers but have you thought about giving something to other bloggers? I mean, anyone who’s anyone in this industry had some help along the way. None of us operates on a complete island, right? So how about giving something back this year to those who helped you grow? Here are some gift ideas:
- An original guest article from you to post on their site
- A review article about their site or product on your site (with backlinks!)
- 30 minutes of your time on your core competency (New logo? Plugin support? SEO advice?)
- A new link to their site from a high PR page on your site
- Ten thoughtful comments on their existing articles
- Free ad block for a month (obviously requires that they are already advertising with you)
See? Other than a little time and energy, none of those will cost you a cent. The best part is that you don’t even have to do any of these right now. Just send an email (or an e-card) with your personal thank you message and state your gift. Just make sure you deliver on your promise.

For a free ad block I wouldn’t necessarily say they have to already be advertising with you, maybe you just wanna give a fellow blogger a free month…maybe then they WILL advertise with you. lol

I like most the 2 first ideas — about a guest post and a review article. They take some time, but they need more personal involvement and so they are more valuable as gifts. Well, at least in my opinion

Great gift ideas! I would personally prefer an ad banner that rotates the ads of various fellow bloggers. That way you save ad-space while being impartial too.
