Alright, you have a blog or website but you need to generate traffic. Other than telling all your family and friends, which some of you are probably hesitant to tell in the early stages anyway, how can you generate traffic to your blog?
Unless you’ve already created a name for yourself in the blogsphere, moving your blog up in ranking is a journey of trials and tribulations. There’s nothing to be ashamed of; every blogger has that problem in the beginning.
What if you can get perfect strangers to come to your blog? What if they stayed for at least 20 seconds? What if they never judge you, no matter how bad the site looks, how poorly written your posts are, or how boring your topics are? What if you could do all this without spamming? Would you do it?
Welcome to TrafficSwarm. Although there are plenty of link exchanges and other tools to bring visitors to your blog, TrafficSwarm is a free, non-invasive method that I’m personally using for this site.
Here’s how it works.
- You go to TrafficSwarm and create a basic ad for your blog or website.
- Your ad gets displayed on the TrafficSwarm network.
- People click on your ad and they have to stay on your site for at least 20 seconds.
That’s it! Why would people want to click on your ad? Well, every time they click on an ad, they can earn 1-5 credits. Say you accumulate 100 credits by clicking on various TrafficSwarm ads. Your ad is now displayed in the network until other people have visited your site 100 times. You could do this for a few minutes a day while you are doing other things, like watching TV, posting on your blog, surfing the web, etc. You could also earn credits in other ways and there is also a paid, premium service but in the beginning, just sign up and see how it works for yourself.
I’ve only been using it for a few weeks but it seems easy enough. Freebloghelp.com, in two short months, is about to break the one million Alexa rank mark (learn more about Alexa rank)! To be honest, I can’t say for certain how much credit I can give to TrafficSwarm since I had a decent stream of visitors prior to signing up. However, it’s a low risk proposition for me. My traffic has increased over that time and it doesn’t cost me a single penny! How much time do I spend on the TrafficSwarm network accruing credits? Put it this way, I just earned 50 credits by clicking another browser window while I was typing this post. If I had to add up all the seconds, it probably totals one minute. That’s one minute of time for 50 guaranteed visitors to my site.
Look, you’ll still need real visitors but TrafficSwarm is a nice way to complement your blog. TrafficSwarm doesn’t supply actual targeted visitors and the reality is, all you’re doing is creating an online buzz so your blog can become more relevant on search engines. If you’re selling something, you probably won’t get a single sale from anyone who comes from the TrafficSwarm network. Same thing if you’re looking for comments, if you’re looking for a loyal following, or if you’re looking for people who actually care about your topic. But, in my opinion, if your blog could use an extra boost in traffic, TrafficSwarm could be exactly what your blog needs.

This is actually sounds reasonably helpful. A lot of people judge a site by it’s traffic, so the free extra traffic never hurts. Plus its a nice ego booster for stats manics
While the hits might not all be super high quality, they can also help benefit SEO rank like you said (i a pretty sure unique visitors/page views helps increase your SERP.
Well, my blog is very new, and I don’t have much traffic yet, so this sounds like a good idea for me.
TrafficSwarm is great, first-hand!
My two websites got huge traffic from this tool. Thanks for reminding
Unless you’re getting a ton of visitors, it’s definitely a value proposition. I’ve also included a TrafficSwarm link exchange on this site and I’m currently testing the effectiveness of that right now.
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing
I have only been on Traffic Swarm for about a day, but I haven’t had gotten a ton of traffic back from it. After earning about 200 credits, I have recieved a total of 2 hits
I think i’ll spend my time commenting other bloggers
Thanks for the feedback. I just took a quick glance at Google Analytics and it looks like I got 26 uniques from TrafficSwarm with a 96% bounce rate in the last week. Not a ton at all but earning credits doesn’t take me much time.
I’m going to give it a bit longer and tweak the ads to see if I can get more hits from the network. Stay tuned!
Gabe,
This is a really good idea that I hadn’t heard. As a matter of fact, you have some good blogs going on here. I’ll favorite and come back and read more.
Terri
Today I ended up getting 4-5 hits. I guess it just takes a little time to pick up. I’m too ADD to compile credits though
Although they’re not targeted visitors, I’m still getting a pageview bump. And as boring as it gets, for now it still takes me less time to grab those guaranteed additional visitors than any other free method. Some of these visitors might also be coming from the TrafficSwarm link exchange too.
Thanks, Terri. If you give it a try on your candle site, please let me know your results.
I tryed traffic swarm and got very little results.
Traffic g, hitsilo, traffic era, and others proved to deliver much better results.
Thanks for your input, Brad. I’m still monitoring my TrafficSwarm visitors and I’m still getting a steady stream. In fact, they bring me the third most traffic, behind only organic and direct. The quality is much worse than referrers from social sites though.
At some point, I’ll have to decide to either pay for the premium or drop it completely.
Don’t pay for premium traffic on any traffic websites. There all blank, or you’ll get thousands of hits and like me get a 93% bounce rate and 32 second page length.

The traffic you get depends on how much you contribute. That said, I believe this is a nice short-term solution to start gaining traction. For any affiliate that pays per impression, this will likely be a violation.
