We have a special guest today. Let’s welcome Missy from webtrafficroi!
Facebook is one social network you simply can’t afford to ignore, it’s too big and too powerful plus it’s quite likely that your type of reader and or customer is on it. The statistics are too massive to ignore any longer. So with that in mind, let’s think of ways to spruce up our Facebook accounts and or Facebook pages to snag more readers, fans and or clients.
The four cool (and free) Facebook resources and tools below should give you a leg up on your overall strategy and action plans. Give each one a try and report back your results and experience. The resources below can be used by anyone with a Facebook presence and a blog as they encourage blog marketing in one way or another.
1. Networked Blogs – this old standby still works and many blog owners use it because it brings in traffic and exposure. It reels in your RSS feed and broadcasts all new blog articles to your Facebook fan page. This tool is great for increased readership and engagement from users and fans. Sign up and add it as soon as you can.
2. HootSuite – another fantastic tool for your blog marketing arsenal. This one has a series of neat features all meant to bring in additional activity on your site. From the auto-update feature which seamlessly updates your Facebook wall with new articles to scheduled entries and Ow.ly integration, this free resource is a must have for any blog owner and Facebook marketer. There’s a paid version as well with PRO features, however the free version works just as well and might not be necessary depending on your usage.
3. Viper Chill Facebook Freebie – here’s a freebie we found from a popular blogger that enables you to customize your Welcome page to new visitors and fans, a great way to surprise that new reader with a personal touch. Works like a charm and comes with easy instructions that if this technophobe can handle, so can you. We scored a free copy on the Viper Chill website and you can too.
4. The LIKE Box for Your Blog – don’t underestimate this beauty of a tool for your site. Many who haven’t jumped on the Google Plus bandwagon (yet) still feverishly and religiously use Facebook personally and for net marketing. The LIKE box can be found on the Facebook site under resources and you add it to your blog via the HTML code given. Many visitors prefer to quickly and easily LIKE your blog without having to leave your site and or jump through hoops to do so. Make it easy for them and they will reciprocate by becoming an eager fan. Add the box at once.
There you have it. Four cool Facebook resources for blog owners that can and might increase your traffic, readership, income, fan base and possibly much more. Let us know how to get on with any of them and as usual your feedback is very much welcomed and appreciated below in the comment area.
