Sure, you can follow some basics like the things I outlined in my SEO top 5 but using the right tools can help.
That’s where All-in-one SEO comes in. That’s the WordPress plugin that will save you plenty of time so you can focus on what you really need to do, writing quality content and actively promoting your work. Simply type a few words about your site and for each article and you’re done! I mean, it does it a lot more but that’s the gist of it.
To me, the All-in-one SEO plugin is a godsend. I know, some of you already have a theme that comes with SEO tools. But guess what, I’d still recommend using this tool instead.
3 reasons to use All-in-one SEO over your theme’s built-in SEO
- You know what you’re getting. This is a comprehensive SEO tool that’s praised by the community. Even when it’s heavily marketed by your theme maker, often times, it’s hard to tell what you’re really getting out of theme-based SEO.
- You know it’s compatible with the latest version of WordPress. Sure, you may have to wait a few days for it to be updated, just like any plugin but in most cases, this will be compatible with each WP version (and WP 2.9 and up will even tell you if you use the plugin tool).
- You still have your SEO settings when you change themes. How often do you change themes? Do you even want to worry about what would happen to your theme-based SEO settings when you switch to a new flavor? Didn’t think so.
After all, there’s nothing like having a reliable tool that’s always going to be there for you. I would probably pay a monthly fee to use All-in-one SEO but luckily for us, it’s free!

I use Platinum SEO Pack now, used to use AIO, and now I can’t remember why I changed (was over a year ago), but I think they are very similar in options….

Even if it has Platinum has more features I am not confident that it will be updated and supported as well as all in one has always been.
Fair enough, although I have personal experience that the creator is in it for the long haul. Remember, he created it in the first place because he loved AIO so much…he just wanted more out of it.
BTW, AIO changes hands a lot…I wouldn’t be so sure on the support there at all.

Some folks keep their themes for a long time but I would think that everyone switches at some point. Being able to know that your SEO efforts stay in tact is one less thing to worry about.
I used it at the beginning but I removed it now when I switched to Thesis, it is already built in thesis theme.

All In One SEO plugin is the first plugin that I installed. I have it on all my blogs and definitely think that it helps a lot with my SE rankings.
Then again, I had not heard about Platinum so I think I will have to check it out, cause Dennis seems pretty set that it is better!

I’ve always been a huge fan of all in one seo. I have never had a problem with it, and it does the job great.
Nick from SS101 claims up and down that Headspace is a better product. I think that if you’re into super customizable SEO plugins, headspace has more options, but I’m an All in one guy for now.

I tried switching over to Headspace 2, with the high expectations of placing higher in search results. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out (or it was too complicating to set up). I’ll be sticking with All-in-One for a while now.

I have been using All in one SEO and it makes my work easy. I never thought of going to another one..I am very content with it as if now.
I’m reading this post and all the comments thinking I must really be sme kind of dinasour and Im being left behind. I have WP but still havent got the hang of it let alone any plugins – I just cant think of anything to say every day on it – do people really write article upon article every day???? Who has the time for this.

All-in-one SEO is a useful WP plugin, but unfortunately it doesn’t give the power to control all links in order to choose whether you want them nofollow or dofollow.

Is a usefull plugin but it doesnt guarantee that much from what i expected from it , but afterall it helps a lot in some cases , so i gladly recommend it.
I was trying different seo plugins like headspace2, all-in-one-seo and platinum seo and I must say all-in-one-seo plugin is the easiest one to use and and I also get better results.

All-in-One SEO is still a very solid tool. Personally, I use Yoast’s new WordPress SEO plugin. This really is an all-in one SEO plugin. It does some awesome stuff most of the other’s don’t.

All-in-one SEO is a great plugin used properly and its not hard to use like all things when they are new it needs a little bit of experimenting with the more you use it the easier it will get.
